For English speaking followers now in English:

The next project out of my second Knitcrate-Box* is a hat, too. I've also written a pattern named Sunbrella because the colours of the yarn are very sunny and feel like spring. The little lace pattern matches very well.

In January I received 2 skeins worsted yarn from Knitcrate*. The colours looked so lovely and sunny.

I wanted to have a warm beanie which gives me a taste of spring at the same time. The yarn is spun out of 100 % Merino Wool, very squishy and soft. Perfect for the head. Yardage is 205 m/225 yards per 100 g. The yarn is knit up pretty fast. The first gauge shows a really beautiful stitch definition and the colours came out very pretty.

There are 3 sizes in the pattern. It's a great set for a Mom and her little girl. For me, I've knitted the hat in a small size. And the one for the baby is knitted for a 1-1,5 years old child. And - believe it or not - for both of the hats I needed only one skein in total! Isn't that amazing? And such a cute set. But please have a look:

Unfortunately, I'm not having a baby by my side to show the hat. So, the old doll of my daughter had to do this job. The doll is a newborn and the hat does not fit very well. It's way too big. But it's still cute, isn't it?

Very pretty looking are the fake fur pompoms. They are fixed with a push button. You can remove them before washing. Especially for the child hat it is very important, I think. And if you lose the pompom you can easily fix another one without sewing again.

I've knitted the hats with needles by Chiaogoo. I love to use these short changeable needle tips out of metall by Chiaogoo. Sometimes, I've knitted with magic-loop-method. The body of the hats are knitted with the short needle tips combined with a very short cable. You can also try the Nekos if you want to.

You can find all the details at Ravelry. You can also buy the pattern there. I am very happy if you show your finished objects. Please use the hashtag #sunbrella and #hatsunbrella. And if you link @fritzicreativ it would make me really proud!

Happy Knitting!
